Celon Method

Slide background

What is the Celon Method?

The Celon Method is a minimally invasive procedure for the thermo-ablation of tissue. It is used to treat habitual snoring. The Celon Method is a state-of-the-art, low-impact procedure based on radio frequency energy.

How Does the Celon Method Work?

The Celon Method involves targeted thermotherapy to reduce the size of the affected areas in the nasal passages and pharynx and stabilize the slack tissue so that snoring is treated directly at its source. The procedure is an outpatient procedure and can be performed using local anesthetic.

During the procedure, a thin applicator that emits a radio frequency current is directed into the affected tissue.  The tissue is thermally coagulated. The body then reabsorbs the coagulated tissue on its own. This process of reabsorption leads to a reduction in the volume of the particular structure as well as its stabilization.

What Are The Benefits Of the Celon Method?

Benefits of the Celon Method include:

  • In-office procedure using local anesthesia
  • Treatment is completed in just a few minutes
  • Targeted thermotherapy used to treat affected tissue
  • The nasal mucosa (vital to immune response) is protected
  • Quick recovery time
  • Results of the treatment are usually felt after just a few short weeks
